I was so happy and impressed with this product as a mother that I reached out to the brand myself to promote it, because I was already promoting it so much as a satisfied customer. That is the honest starting point for this whole site. I did not buy a belt to make a website. I bought a belt, I used it every day, and then I asked Tushbaby if I could share it more widely.
Tushbaby later named me VIP Ambassador of the Week. That title means a lot to me, because it came from real daily use, not from a photo shoot.
My belt comes in handy every single day. I have a high needs baby who wants to be held at all times, but the time that stands out the most is this: my son gets silent reflux, and he falls asleep best when I stand up with him and bounce him. If it was not for my belt, I would not be able to comfort my son this way for as long as he needs.
To be clear, this is my experience, not medical advice, and the belt did not treat his reflux. What it did was let me hold him in the position that helped him settle, with the seat taking much of the weight at my waist, so my arms did not give out first. That difference, being able to keep going until he was truly asleep, is why I still talk about it.
I also used it at theme parks, for breastfeeding support, at the grocery store to grab a few things without dragging in a stroller or a car seat, and for gentle tummy support in the postpartum months. Those are the everyday uses in the guides on this site, and they are all real.
My parenting advice would just be to let go and let life. It is hard to be a perfect parent every day. Establish a schedule, hold your boundaries, and then have some fun. A little dirt never hurt the feet, play a little longer, stay up a little later, take the road trip with your kids, enjoy a piece of candy. Have fun.
That is also how I think about gear. It does not have to be perfect. It has to help you get through the day, and let you enjoy the good parts, a little longer.
This site is strictly about me, talking about the brand and my code that goes with it. It is not run by Tushbaby, and it does not promote any other discount code. The guides tell you the limits too: the hip seat alone is not hands free, the 2 in 1 system is not for newborns, and the Pearl is for 8 to 20 lbs, facing inward only. If a carrier is not right for your stage, I would rather say so here than sell you the wrong one.
If you are not sure which carrier fits your stage, start with the carrier finder quiz, or read the Hip Carrier review, the Pearl review, and the 2 in 1 review.
