Who this guide is for

This guide is for parents whose toddler constantly wants up, then down, then up again, and whose arms and shoulders ache from carrying a child with no support at all. It is for short, repeated carries in real life: the grocery store, a theme park, a quick errand, a walk around the block. It is not a promise that one carrier fits every family, every body, or every day.

I was so happy and impressed with this product as a mother that I reached out to the brand myself to promote it, because I was already promoting it so much as a satisfied customer. That is the honest starting point here. I liked it first. The affiliate part came second.

How I actually used it

The list goes on, and that is the point. I used it at theme parks. I used it for breastfeeding support. I used it at the grocery store to grab a few things without dragging in a stroller or a car seat. It also gave my tummy gentle support in the postpartum months while I carried my baby.

With other hands free carriers, I felt the weight pulling down on my back. With the seat under my child, that pull felt different, because the seat took much of the weight at my waist. That is my experience, not a medical promise, and bodies and babies are different.

The honest limits, before you buy

For pets, a separate product

People do ask about pets. Tushbaby also sells a separate Tushpuppy sling for small dogs up to 15 lbs. That is a different product, and it is not for children. Do not put a child in a pet sling, and do not put a pet in a baby carrier.

Questions readers actually ask

Is the hip seat hands free?

No. The hip seat alone is not hands free. You keep a hand or arm on your child. If you want both hands free, look at the 2 in 1 Convertible Carrier, which adds a hands free attachment to the hip seat.

Can a newborn use it?

Not as a seated carrier. The hip carrier can be used as breastfeeding support from 0 to 6 months. Seated carrying starts once your baby can hold their head up. The Pearl is the newborn option, for 8 to 20 lbs, facing inward. The 2 in 1 system is not suitable for newborns.

Does the code work on sale items?

The code is reported to work sitewide. Site sales change often, so the price that matters is the final price shown at checkout after you enter TUSHASHLEY.
